Call the midwife!

Questo telefilm va proprio consigliato. Non solo perché permette di ascoltare una perfetta pronuncia british, che fa un po' di chiarezza sull'esatto modo di parlare inglese, spesso confuso con l'americano. Vi raccomando questa serie perché è senza ombra di dubbio un prodotto fatto bene. Iniziamo col dire che l'ambientazione sembra adattata proprio secondo i miei gusti: Londra, east end, anni '50. Quindi gonnellone, labbra rosse, musiche melodiche da Happy Days. Ma anche, purtroppo, povertà, ristrettezze, condizioni di vita inimmaginabili ai giorni nostri. E spirito d'adattamento. Tanto, a bizzeffe.
La vicenda segue la routine lavorativa di 4 midwives (ostetriche), che alloggiano presso la Nonnato's House, un convitto gestito da suore, inaspettatamente simpatiche e in gamba. Ognuna di queste ragazze ha un carattere ben definito, abbiamo quella carina amante del buon sherry e delle nights out, quella posata e un po' noiosa, e la protagonista, Jenny. Bravissima nel suo lavoro, si intuisce un passato tutto da scoprire. Ma la mia preferita quella che vorrei avere come amica, è Chummy, impersonata da Miranda Hart, bravissima attrice drammatica ma anche comica, che ci regala un personaggio maldestro, simpatico, a cui gli sceneggiatori attribuiscono battute in puro humor inglese. Ho visto in streaming le due prime serie, praticamente in 10 gg. Una droga. Attendo con ansia la sera di Natale per i nuovi episodi (Sky già programmato per il recording!).
Purtroppo, sebbene questo telefilm della BBC sia stato distribuito anche a livello internazionale, in Italia non è stato acquistato. Vi consiglio lo streaming (è legale, vero?), e una bella copertina sul vostro divano. Cacciate via di casa i mariti, i figli e i fidanzati. Staccate quel telefono, che tanto il mondo gira anche senza di voi. E godetevi qualcosa che vi piacerà di sicuro.

This show must be recommended. Not only because it allows you to listen to a perfect british pronunciation, which clarify the precise way of speaking English, often confused with the American one. I recommend this series because it is with no doubt a well done product. Let's start by saying that the setting seems to be right according to my tastes : London, east end , 50s. So skirts , red lips, melodic music from Happy Days. But, unfortunately, poverty, deprivation, unimaginable living condition to the present day. And the spirit of adaptation. So much, galore.
The story follows the work routine of 4 midwives staying at the Nonnato 's House, a boarding school run by nuns, unexpectedly funny and smart. Each one of these girls has a well-defined character, we have the cute one who loves having some good sherry and nights out, the staid and a bit ' boring one, and the main character, Jenny. Very good at her job, you can imagine a past to be discovered. But my favorite one, that I really would like to have as a friend, is Chummy, played by Miranda Hart, a talented dramatic actress but also comic, which gives us a clumsy character, funny, in which the writers give lines in pure English humor. I've seen streaming the first two series, in only 10 days. A drug. I look forward to Christmas Eve for the new episodes (Sky scheduled for the recording ! ) .
Unfortunately, although this BBC telefilm was also distributed internationally, in Italy was not purchased. I recommend the streaming ( it is legal , right?) , and a nice blanket on your sofa . Chase from the house husbands, kids and boyfriends. Unplug the phone,  'cause the world turns without you also. And enjoy something that you will like for sure.
