Pure Christmas

Ieri mattina, con le mie bambine, per un paio d'ore è stato già Natale. Siamo andate a vedere The Polar Express, un film di una decina d'anni fa, riproposto in un cinema di Shoreditch (zona Brick Lane) all'interno di un Kid's club. Adoro i film di Natale, ma questo in particolare soddisfa quella voglia di sensazioni di attesa e magia che non dovrebbero mai andare perse. Ed è un film fatto a misura di bambino, con momenti dedicati alla riflessione, dove dialoghi superflui non vanno a sporcare lo sbocciare delle emozioni. C'è anche dell'azione, e che azione! Ma a differenza delle solite cose prodotte dalla Disney & co., che sono sì belle, ma spesso sono troppo veloci e incalzanti per il ritmo più lento e calmo che richiedono i bambini, ho notato che questo cartone è scivolato via, ce lo siamo bevuto. Anche se le mie ragazze ancora non capiscono totalmente i film in inglese, la musica e le immagini raccontavano tutto. Se solo avessi potuto immortalare le loro facce.. bocche spalancate, occhi lucidi, applausi spontanei! Meraviglioso, e arrivato giusto in tempo per spegnere i dubbi sull'esistenza di Babbo Natale che aveva la Greta. Un altro anno, ti prego, credici almeno un altro anno ancora..
Per la cronaca, un sacco di cinema di Londra dedicano le proiezioni del sabato o domenica mattina a film in seconda visione. Al costo di £ 1,75 a biglietto, si possono rivedere sul grande schermo film mai dimenticati. Italy, wake up.
